Description:

The responsibilities of the scientific council are:

  • Draw up its regulation;
  • Analyze the scientific activities plan;
  • Decide on the distribution of teaching services, after hearing the Area Coordinators and subjecting it to the approval of the Board of Directors;
  • Decide about the creation of study cycles and study cycles taught;
  • Establish school awards;
  • Propose agreements and partnerships with national and international institutions;
  • Propose the composition of the juries for exams and academic contests;
  • Pronounce, in legal terms, on all acts related to the teachers¿ career and scientific careers, regarding contests and the composition of the juries, hiring, nominations;
  • Propose the creation, suspension, and extinction of courses, after discussion with the Board of Directors and Pedagogical Council;
  • Make proposals on the development of scientific activity, cultural activities, and community service;
  • Decide on the course admission regime with the Pedagogical Council;
  • Guide and define the policy to be followed in post-graduation, in scientific activities, activities of cultural extension, and community service;
  • Grant equivalences under the law in all matters within the competence of the School;
  • Designate the Area Coordinator and Course Director;
  • Prepare the regulations of the Self-Evaluation Committee.
